The Real BTeam was born from the passion for swimming of a group of friends and "athletes" who, after years of experience in the pool and especially in open water, decided to embark on the challenge of setting up their own Amateur Sports Association.
The group was founded back in 2013, when a close-knit group of swimmers with a passion for open water naturally came together. Over time, it grew larger and more united, bringing together many Master swimmers who later became great friends, both in and out of the lanes. Over the years, we alternated winter pool competitions under the Albatros club banner with lake swimming during the summer season.
Dopo mille avventure nel 2015 nasce la prima maglietta riportante il nome B-TEAM.
Un paio di anni più tardi decidiamo di fare le cose in grande e prepariamo un fantastico kit completo di maglietta nuova, pantaloncini, felpa, sacca e salviettone. Il nostro obiettivo principale era quello di farci riconoscere come gruppo unito durante le nostre uscite nelle gare e pubblicizzare il nome del B-Team.
Nel frattempo, dal 2016 alcuni di noi iniziano una collaborazione con Albatros per la creazione del Miglio IdroSwim. Con orgoglio possiamo dire che nella prima edizione del 2016 avevamo circa 120 iscritti, cresciuti poi a quasi 150 nel 2017, a 230 nel 2018 e l’apice del 2025 con il tutto esaurito a oltre 400 atleti.
Nel 2020 però ecco che arriva la svolta: dopo 4 edizioni, spinti dal desiderio di voler avere la propria gara, ci accordiamo con Albatros per prendere la gestione completa del Miglio.
Ecco quindi che ad inizio 2020 nasce la The Real B-Team ASD.
Driven by the success of "Il Miglio IdroSwim", after thinking about it for a long time, we have created for the first time in the history of Lake Idro the first edition of HYDRA Legendary Swim, the complete crossing of the lake, from north to south, a race 9km long, which saw, as the first edition, a turnout of almost 100 athletes, beyond our expectations.
We never stop!
After seven editions, we felt it was time to give Il Miglio IdroSwim a fresh new look. To meet the needs of a new target of athletes, the Miglio doubles the distance with the introduction of the DOUBLE (3704 m): an extra challenge added to the SPRINT (926 m) and the CLASSIC (1852 m).
Per celebrare degnamente la 9° edizione abbiamo pensato bene di unire l’utile al dilettevole: nel 2025 nasce “IDROSWIM BEER” una gara nella gara (format totalmente goliardico e NON agonistico), che ha riscosso subito un enorme successo, dove gli atleti, dopo aver percorso circa 100 mt a nuoto in staffetta, a turno devono bere una birra nel minor tempo possibile! Ovviamente i premi sono in… BIRRA!
Il ricavato è devoluto interamente in beneficenza, per sensibilizzare e far conoscere realtà che quotidianamente si battono per aiutare il prossimo.
In the meantime, since 2016 some of us have started a collaboration with Albatros for the creation of the Idroswim Mile. We can proudly say that in the first edition of 2016 we had about 120 members, which then grew to almost 150 in 2017, to 230 in 2018 and the peak of 2019 with a full house of over 300 athletes.
