Our history

The real b-team

Beginning

The Real BTeam was born from the passion for swimming of a group of friends and "athletes" who, after years of experience in the pool and especially in open water, decided to embark on the challenge of setting up their own Amateur Sports Association.

Growth

The group lays its foundations back in 2013, when a beautiful company of swimmers passionate about open water is created in a completely natural way. Gradually it becomes more numerous and close-knit and gathers several Master swimmers who have become great friends, both inside and outside the lanes. Over the years we have alternated swimming pool races in winter under the Albatros company banner and lakes in summer.

New team

A couple of years later we decide to go big and prepare a fantastic kit complete with new shirt, shorts, sweatshirt, bag and towel. Our main goal was to be recognized as a united group during our outings in the races and to advertise the name of the B-Team.

Collaboration with Albatros

Nel frattempo, dal 2016 alcuni di noi iniziano una collaborazione con Albatros per la creazione del Miglio IdroSwim. Con orgoglio possiamo dire che nella prima edizione del 2016 avevamo circa 120 iscritti, cresciuti poi a quasi 150 nel 2017, a 230 nel 2018 e l’apice del 2019 con il tutto esaurito a oltre 300 atleti.

The Real B-Team

In 2020, however, here comes the turning point: after 4 editions, driven by the desire to have their own race, we agree with Albatros to take complete management of the Mile. Therefore, at the beginning of 2020, The Real B-Team ASD was born.

Hydra Legendary Swim

Driven by the success of "Il Miglio IdroSwim", after thinking about it for a long time, we have created for the first time in the history of Lake Idro the first edition of HYDRA Legendary Swim, the complete crossing of the lake, from north to south, a race 9km long, which saw, as the first edition, a turnout of almost 100 athletes, beyond our expectations.

Non ci fermiamo mai!

Dopo sette edizioni abbiamo pensato che ci fosse bisogno di una “rinfrescata” al format de “Il Miglio IdroSwim”: per poter accontentare un nuovo target di atleti, il Miglio raddoppia la distanza con l’innesto della “DOUBLE” (3704 mt.), una fatica in più che va ad aggiungersi alla SPRINT (926mt.) e alla CLASSIC (1852mt.)

In the meantime, since 2016 some of us have started a collaboration with Albatros for the creation of the Idroswim Mile. We can proudly say that in the first edition of 2016 we had about 120 members, which then grew to almost 150 in 2017, to 230 in 2018 and the peak of 2019 with a full house of over 300 athletes.
